Looking for someone to (help?) run the community

Feb 01, 2011 14:50

Would anyone else like to become a mod?

With the new bill passed by our ohsolovely government, I doubt I will be on LJ much starting in March.

Thank-you

I'll help if there isn't anyone with a little more experience who wants to do it.

Thank-you! I want to continue modding, but if I'm not able to spend any time on the internet thanks to the CRTC stopping unlimited internet in Canada, I don't think I'll be able to keep up nearly as well as I have been. (Which isn't very well to begin with.)

Thank-you! I'm going to wait and see how the whole CRTC thing works out before I make any big decisions. Right now the government is looking over the new bill again, because of all of the negative response they're getting from different companies, voters etc. Hopefully they'll change it and we will get to keep our unlimited internet instead of losing it in March. I'm crossing my fingers and spreading the word, so I hope we manage to have some effect.

It would be mostly counting votes, issuing new contests, reminders, and banners. It's a lot of fun if you have time for it!

Glad to see you have others willing to help, I was going to have to turn you down. Already got my site plus I am helping Mod another LJ site and just started college lol. But as always, if you, or those that help you with the site, need help with banners, just give me a holler. I always have time for those :).

Yes. I'm so lucky that this community has such wonderful people! (Yourself included. ;))

That is a lot going on. Hopefully the government goes over this new bill again and gets rid of it. They're taking a lot of heat right now from businesses and voters. Netflix is especially unhappy, and Youtube has quite a few users voicing their unhappiness with the government and Bell Canada.
Thank-you so much! You're so sweet. :)

You're very welcome and I do hope things get better for you. Though I must admit I'm a bit outta the loop with news both here and Canada and back in the States, what does the bill do?
