Torture Is Wrong

I'm not a member of any organized religion. I have no faith in a God. But I do have faith in people. The National Religious Campaign Against Torture wants every religious organization in America to hang a banner saying "Torture Is Wrong" and keep that banner up for all of June.

I am not a religious person either and I agree with you completely. Many people think that one needs to be religious to have a good moral foundation which is simply not the case. You can have good values without a belief in a God (or Gods as the case may be).

As for our government listening to this message, good luck. We all know that this administration cherry picks the information it listens to, or manufacturers their own, to cast itself in the best light possible. Look at it this way: In seven months or so we'll likely have someone in charge with better values than the current person in that position.
