Memory triggers are so entrenched in us, it's odd how they *are* triggered. There's a very darling t-shirt of mine that I'm afraid to wear because it was the one I was wearing to bed when the flood happened. I then spent all day in that damn cute t-shirt and it's now full of those horrible memories. I can't part with it, either.

Is the radio/clock nifty looking? I say keep it as a memento. Just make it a decorative piece. I've got a slew of old clocks that don't work (or are really noisy), they sit all pretty on my bookshelves.
