OK, srsly, we need to get those little hot pads for the hands. I think that's all that will help.

slavelabour was talking about friends who swear by the magnetic bracelets. I've often wondered about them. I kept meaning to track down some of the hot pads and give them a try. They should help because standing at the sink with my hands under the really warm water makes them feel better - but that's not really conducive to getting anything done.

Really though, the hands haven't been that bad, it's just that stupid jammed thumb. It's nearly back to normal. Or as normal as my hands get now. ;)

I know two people with RA who swear by those weird magnetic bracelets. If you know which ones I mean? I don't know how the magnets work but they say it means less pain medication for them. Maybe it's psychosomatic?

My hands actually haven't been that bad lately, it's just the jammed thumb that made things worse. It's almost back to normal now. But I have wondered about those bracelets. I think there are a couple of different kinds - copper and magnetic. I might just give them a try.
