Why is it always science and religion to be used as comparing opposites? Why not myths being compared to science? What about the parallels religion and myths? That would hit too close to home, perhaps? Then again.. the difference between science and myth could be minimal, too. Similarities? Both attempt to explain natural phenomenon. Both rely first on the naked senses, then on the mind about these senses. What's the difference between them? I'm actually unsure. I don't believe it's your poem, but I feel there are some interesting unspoken sides here..

The similarities between religon amd myth? Both are known to be exaggerated, beyond common knowledge, both involve the telling of stories. And the difference between them? Maybe: Religion -- to those that believe -- isn't seen as personally false, because it's seen as always having been true and not fictitious; as if myths themselves had always been seen as false and fictitious before being named "myths"...

Hm. Sorry. I guess I'm more talking to myself.. Irony.

I don't think science and religion are exactly opposites, either. I really want to come up with an equally drawn-out and cultured response to your comment, but I can't.

You enjoyed, though, yes? I mean, I'd like to think there were certain, well, surface aethestics there as well.

Psh. Please. Don't worry about coming up with a similar comment, it's fine. Sometimes I get out of control with that, aha.

I did enjoy it, though! Very nice, thought-provoking work. :)
