SO HAPPY that you did this. I knew it was coming, but when I saw it on tumblr, I shrieked and immediately clicked on it. I love the commentary. Definitely loved the nod to MTBB, because I saw it when I first read the story (after you de-anon'd anyway) and knew it had to be a nod to MTBB. (Though I will say its a toss up between which is my favorite, MTBB or TTLDL)

Thank you for the commentary, it was great to see all your inner thoughts compiled together! :D

Thank you! I had fun writing it, but I mean...it's just my over-indulgent prattlings, you know? I honestly didn't think there'd be much interest, so knowing you enjoyed it is really cool. :)

Thank you for this commentary! :) I always love to see what authors have to say about their work, and this fic is one of my favorites of yours, so I was especially tickled to see it pop up this morning. :)

(And I'd LOVE bits of this fic from Darren's POV, since you said you were thinking of doing that. It isn't necessary for the fic to work, since it is such a tight POV and complete as it is, but clearly a lot is going on with Darren that we can't see, and your comments here show me that some of my own interpolations aren't entirely accurate... which is cool, actually.)

I'm glad you found it entertaining! :D

I'm curious what your incorrect interpolations were! I've been thinking about the Darren's POV thing for a while, and I'm thinking it might be a kind of fun thing to do while waiting for beta feedback on upcoming parts of P&V. I find that if I keep writing on a consistent basis, it's much easier to stay motivated. I haven't had the ability to do that for some time, but like I said before - taking my laptop to work has been amazing for that. :)

Well, one example off of the top of my head is that I had no idea in the suite party that Darren didn't want to be there, wasn't edging toward Chris, and what any of his expectations were around it. Because of having to see his actions through Chris's eyes, I took some of his unreliable narration as accurate; in other places it was obvious it wasn't, but there I couldn't tell. Also, I didn't realize Darren was drunk when he sent the cannoli text; I thought he was trying to be super earnest in his own dorky way. And I still don't know how Darren wanted to finish some of his cut-off sentences. :)

I think his emotional journey must have also been interesting, too, including over the time we don't see in the fic, between The Night and the tour rehearsals.

God this has always been one of my favourite CrissColfer fics, one of the first I read too I believe, so seeing this commentary is so good. I just read your commentary but definitely going to re-read this again. I have it favourited already so that's definitely on my to do list. The commentary was brilliant ♥ so glad you did it.

Aw, thank you! I'm glad you still like the story after putting up with all my blather over it. :D

Thank you, bb! :D

I think entirely too much. Just wait until 'The Things That Cost You Too Much' gets unleashed and I have the chance to talk about all the crap that went into that one. ;D

This was my bus fic for the past couple of days and I absolutely loved it. One thing that always fascinates me is finding out how writers approach their work, and I am so glad you decided to do this. All of the little behind the scenes tidbits and all of your thoughts are so interesting to me! And I agree with whoever said above that they would love to have some of this from Darren's point of view. There were so many little things that I didn't think about, and I'd love to get Darren's perspective.
