It just occured to me that the Bass Clef thingy looks like a backwards sad face emoticon.

And since we all know that sadface = emo, we can logically deduce that bass clef = emo.

Therefore, the only obvious direction to take this is that bass playing = emo, therefore bassists are emo.

IT ALL MAKES SENSE NOW
