Ohkura's Hat

So over Thanksgiving weekend I made myself a new hat. Those of you who are also nerds have seen Kanjani8's "Zukkoke Otokomichi" PV may recognize it.

On the off-chance other Kanjani8 fans crochet, I wrote up the pattern ^^;

I do not crochet but I TOTALLY want this hat *_* I guess I'll have to figure out how to READ this pattern and what it means XDD I learned from my grandma years ago but I could mostly just ... not do much LOL Maybe I can learn I LOVE THESE KINDS OF HATS *_*

You know, when I was first learning to crochet I think the hardest thing was figuring out how to read the patterns XD There are some really great crochet tutorials out there if you really want to pick it up again. (I personally like CrochetKitten's tutorials, but you can just google "crochet tutorial" for a whole ton of sites.)

I like this kind of hat, too XD And I've found they're a lot easier to make than I thought they would be! ^w^

YES! The pattern makes my eyes cross and I just think "....what" XDDD I'm goign to bookmark that tutorial too. The funny thing was that my best friend just RANDOMLY brought up how her mom crochets this past saturday when I talked to her!!!! I hadn't mentioned this hat and she just said "My mom said she could show us how to crochet!!!" and I thougth OMG DESTINY!!!!! *_* So hopefully we will take her up on that soon and then I can look at the tutorial and MAKE MY OWN TACCHON HAT <3

Hmm... You know, if you wanted a less warm hat, you could probably just run one strand of yarn instead of two, that should make it lighter and thinner. I haven't tried it, though, so I'm not sure the hat would end up the same size :/ Hmm.

You know, I have been thinking about starting my own etsy store to sell some of my crochet stuff... XD Probably won't be for a little while, though. Darn final exams XP

Well, in my personal extremely biased opinion, crochet is way easier than knitting XD It's really easy to cover up mistakes if you make one.
