Why am I not surprised? It took a while before he realized it is impossible without her. I am not sure if I want her back or not. I am not totally sure I do not want it. We all loved that show... But I am afraid how bad it actually can turn out....

So there is "a possibility", nothing has been planned", "would depend on us convincing her to come back" - these are hardly very convincing statements. As much as I would love to see Lisa/Cuddy back on House I find it very hard to have faith that David Shore would ever make it happen.

As we know from his past actions David Shore is quite good at making statements but not so good at picking up the phone and actually speaking to Lisa.

The cynical part of me also conjectures that this is just an attempt by DS to pull back/interest the audience (Huddy's in particluar) who have abandoned the show by hinting that we may get a "possible" glimpse of Cuddy in the future. I'll believe it when I see it.

Also how very interesting that to make a story about OA and CY interesting they had to add two paragraphs about Lisa Edelstein to the end of the article.

Thirding! They are in the midst of sweeps with the ratings sucking , no one is paying them any attention, the two new female characters are flops and the decision on Season 9 which was supposed to be made in September is still up in the air. So what does David Shore do? He starts talking about Lisa Edelstein, the only thing that is guaranteed to generate buzz these days.

It is probably worth mentioning that page one of the article mentioned above also references Lisa. (The above quote is from page 2). So it looks like the only way they sold this article was to use Lisa's name and to mention the "terrible void" left by her departure in the show . Read below

You're right! I'm sorry I was just too engrossed with the last part of the article that I somewhat dismissed the first part altogether. Edited it now. :)

Also, funny how they pointed out that Annable and Yi were fillers for Lisa and the article didn't even mention that Olivia Wilde also left this season. xD

Agreed. The only interesting thing about that sentence is that I think it's the first time I've seen the finger solely pointed at UMS.

I'd actually want Lisa to come back for 1ep to get a closure for her character. Her departure was so abrupt and in s8 basically ignored.
I shipped House and Cuddy like ka-rayze for 7 years and I can't just let them go. So yeah, it'd be nice if we could get 1 ep with a proper farewell.
