i took isis to the vet this morning to get her up-to-date on her shots & got some upsetting news. she has a disease (the name of which i cannot remember right now) that basically means she has an infected uterus & has to have a complete hysterectomy as soon as possible. from what the vet told me, this condition can be fatal if not dealt with

since isis is goddess of fertility i find this achingly bizarre. nevertheless. i hope your cat (and you) will pull through. i know how much she means to you and i can't stand anything else to happen to you. i love you hollie.. you're the best thing in the world. i wish you lived closer so we could.. be bored together.

i know. :/ isn't that the worst part? it's so ironic that i named her after the goddess of fertility, and as of today, she is going to be infertile.
