The world is changed because you are made of ivory and gold. The curves of your lips rewrite history.

"Every portrait that is painted with feeling is a portrait of the artist, not of the sitter. The sitter is merely the accident, the occasion. It is not he who is revealed by the painter; it is rather the painter who, on the colored canvas, reveals himself."

"Every piece of fiction that is written with feeling is a portrait of the author, not of the subject. The subject is merely the accident, the occasion. It is not the subject which is revealed by the author; it is rather the authors who, on the colored canvas, reveal themselves."

Dorian decides rashly to kill Basil rather than pray for forgiveness. Unfortunately, Basil, the pure artist and worshiper of beauty, isn't cut out for this world of evil men, and he loses in the end.

" ...and I could have told you Vincent, this world was never meant for one as beautiful as you."

Amanda fell when she was little and cut her lip, (I dare you to find it.),. I think she doesn't like it, I feel it gives her character and It makes me smile to see it.

I've seen a photo where she pointed it out before. I have a very similar scar on my lip from ripping it open on a plastic chair with a sharp broken edge.

It does add character :)

(And I feel it's one more way to identify me when I'm dead)
