[Hawke's been quiet for a while now. Anyone who knows him should know just how odd that is in and of itself. He sits in the stables bar sipping at a bottle of...something. He wasn't really paying to what it was when he grabbed it. All he knew was that he wanted something alcoholic

[The past week's been torture for her, locked away while the people she cares about were out and about killing and being killed. She's passing by the bar when she spies a familiar figure inside. Vie pauses, and then moves toward him. Voice soft, she speaks.]

Garrett.

[gotyourwallet]

Here you have some chance, at least.

[Vie threads her fingers with his and gives his hand a squeeze.]

Speak with those you can, Garrett. If they love you even half as much as I do, they'll agree that there is nothing to forgive. You've done no wrong.

[She means it, even if she has issues following her own rules. Vie still blames herself for not getting at least one of her team out alive.]

[He squeezes her hand back and begins to say something when before becoming completely derailed by what she just said, and he doesn't think she realizes she even said it.

He stares into the space in front of him for a moment, trying to make sure that's what she really said, before turning to look at her.]

Did you just say you love me?

[There's the makings of a smirk on his face.]

What? I said--

[Oh dear. She did. A little slow on the uptake there, Vie. Right on cue her face goes red. Vie focuses her attention on their hands.]

Hm. I... guess I did.

[More so, she meant it. While she is well aware how foolish it is to get that attached to anyone, and that her track record hasn't been so smooth, Hawke is Hawke and with him she's willing to take the risk. Vie bites her lip and glances up at him.]

Yes.

[That smirk becomes a full blown shit-eating grin, and he knows immediately that he feels the same way about her. There have been girls in the past, but Hawke could never truly say that he loved them. With Vie though, it's much different. She started off as a friend and now she's so much more.]

So do I.

[Pause.]

Oh, and I love you too of course.

[gotyourwallet]

[She grins back and pushes all of her worries and fears aside. When the bad things come up, they'll find a way to deal with them. Vie refuses to lose him now. She shakes her head and laughs, not forgetting the reason they're there but glad to have this moment.]

You're sure you can fit me into the equation with all this love for yourself? There's still some left?

[Vie can't stop smiling.]

[To be honest, Hawke doesn't mind the idea of forgetting why they're here the have this moment. It's far better than the one he was having by himself and he's feeling much happier than he ever has since getting here.]

It'll take some work but I think I can figure something out.

[And he's leaning in to kiss her.]

Oh good.

[She likes that idea. Vie accepts that kiss quite happily and returns it in full. When she breaks away, Vie doesn't move too far.]

Now you're stuck with me. Any regrets?

[She can't help but tease.]

Let me think.

[He gives her another quick kiss.]

Hmm, nope. None come to mind.

[Hope you don't mind people in your personal bubble Vie because Hawke is right up in it.]

[Generally Vie likes her space, but this man is one she's happy to let get close. She slings her free arm around his neck, and continues to hold his hand with the other.]

Have you noticed that every time we come to this bar, we end up like this?

[Or some variation of. If anything she seems amused. Vie leans to catch his lips again.]

[Hawke throws his arm around her waist. Who would have thought the woman of his dreams would be from another world entirely? That might cause some problems down the line but forethought really isn't one of Hawke's fortes.]

We should really start coming here more often then.

[This is fast becoming his favorite place in the keep now. He leans in to meet her halfway, pressing his lips against hers.]

[Vie's thought about it. It's the possibility that they'll be split up in future that had her trying to put distance between them months before. Obviously that defense has been broken.]

Agreed.

[She smiles and returns the kiss in full, threading her fingers through the back of his hair as she does so. When she breaks away, she lingers.]

I love you. [She pauses, amused.] And I never thought I would say that to anyone.

[Feel special, Hawke.]

[If she only asked any of his friends she would have known that would have never worked. Easier to just give in and get it over with.

Hawke pulls her closer as they kiss, if that's even possible. This is his favorite moment in all of forever. As she pulls away he gives her that smug smile of his.]

Clearly I'm not just anyone.

[He steals another kiss from her.]

And I love you too.

[He words are barely above a whisper. They're just for her to hear.]

[For a moment Vie doesn't speak. She's also doesn't move away or let her eyes leave his. She kisses the corner of his mouth and whispers in return.]

Walk with me.

[Slowly she breaks away, but doesn't let go of his hand.]

[Hawke is more than happy to sit in this silence with her, just enjoying be with her. Though, he can't think of a time where he didn't enjoy being in her presence.]

Gladly.

[He leaves his seat, leaving his bottle forgotten, and keeps her hand tightly in his. Suddenly he's glad he waited to take that nap Anders suggested.]

[She's happy to walk for the time being, just wander aimlessly around the Keep. Vie's always been fond of walking at night. It's her time to think and relax, but this time Vie's willing to share the moment.

And if they end up anywhere, she certainly won't mind.]
