Oh, since you're new, you should check out the hd_bigbang and some other fests that are going on. It's a good way to get involved in the community and such ;p

it looks like h/d fandom is huge! I have to figure out how these fests work. I'd love to scribble for any h/d fics :P

Well, the hd_bigbang is specific for larger works that will have art with it ;p So the writers sign up first, write their first draft, then the artists get to pick a few scenes from the draft the illustrate. Other fests tend to have prompts that guide you, not fics, or are exchanges where the person you are drawing/writing for have told you what they wish for. lol A good place to start is hd_seasons because they have many smaller fests that you could check out, and I believe hd_smoochfest is coming up soon as well. They got tons of good art and fic last year! lol And I want to say that hd_fan_fair is doing something soon as well. So you've got loads to choose from!! lol

You should think about signing up for the hd_bigbang (I hope I got the link right) They are in desperate need of artists and you are wonderful!! Any writer would be lucky to have you illustrate for them :)

My faves are the first two- just because they're so intimate.
