This shouldn't be so funny...

but it is amusing to see them eat their own. To think the Freepers would turn on one of their beloved messiahs is just so appropriate.

FWIW, for once Mr. ORLY wasn't that far off the truth. I think that qualifies this as ironic.

It is unfortunate that the O’Reilly Factor stooped to making up comments to besmirch the reputation of FreeRepublic.com in order to appear ‘fair and balanced’ in its campaign against the Daily Kos.

Bill O'Reilly twisted the truth to rile people up? Heavens! This is unprecedented. I believe I must retire to my fainting couch, forthwith!

(Seriously. The only person Bill O'Reilly cares about is Bill O'Reilly. This should surprise no one.)

Ha!

Well, what smacks of irony is I have personally seen comment of that exact type (maybe not word-for-word, but along those same lines) with my own eyes on FreeRepublic. So essentially, Billy O can lie all he wants about the opposition, but if he tells the truth about their side, he's persona non grata.

I can't decide whether I should waste my energy being ticked off at him every time he opens his mouth or just ignore everything he says because it's bound to be bollocks.

That said, I'm not big on internet speak but "Mr. ORLY" has me in giggles.

Hee! It's almost my default way of referring to him. I read Fark.com way too much.

Yeah, I've reached a place where nothing he says can tick me off. It's just sort of amusing to see him actually tell the truth for once and cause his main supporters to turn on him. Poetic justice.
