I like watching the word count go up an up too. But, I'm more of a fan of the page count. I have a hard time getting stories past 8 or 9 pages though.

Microsoft Word does this weird thing where the more you write, the more it assumes you're going to write. So it had already opened up two fresh pages (bumping the page count up to 70) while I was still on page 68. I like how it has faith in its users.
