Thanksgiving

Today Scott and I spent most of the day in LA. This year, mostly in order to see Hamilton, we bought season tickets for the Pantages. Tonight was our first show. Well, actually last week was, but we were in San Francisco that Wednesday so we changed it to tonight. Because we were afraid of holiday traffic we decided to get to LA very early. So

Oh dear Ivy, I certainly feel your pain. In early October, Jenna had switched her meds to Wellbutrin despite warnings from Allan that it maybe a bad choice. As it turns out, she started to have suicidal ideation and asked to be hospitalized. Normally we could talk her out of doing so, but she was serious. We checked her into Northridge Hospital and she spent 5 days there. She was able to get out just in time to see her cousin (Carl's oldest) get married. After that, she has in a deep depression for over a week, hardly getting out of bed. She is back on her Lexapro and her psychiatrist is trying gabapentin. Gradually she has climbed out of her hole, and has been doing well finally in the past few days. I am grateful that she asked for help and that she is still living at home during her young adulthood. You really have to be more your kids' advocate for their health. Love to all, Kathy

Oh no. So many hugs. I knew something had been up, because Winter was concerned, but I didn't know the details.

Sky just started on Wellbutrin (it's what I'm on). It's not helping yet. I'm hoping it's the right thing for her. The last one she was on was not helpful. I guess I'll keep an eye out for side effects.
