legend of korra, why no nakama

Why is reblogging shit on tumblr so very satisfying? Yeah, I said I was going to come back and post more here, and I am! Still enjoying the Legend of Korra aside from some key things: the lack of nakama, and the lack of defined characters. I know I'm comparing it to the first show, which must be unfair of me, but I think it's natural enough. I do

I think yesterday's episode will allow them to get closer. They had romantic drama and then got over it by the end, in a way that seemed to solidify the teammate and friendship bonds.

That also makes me think that they couldn't be closer before because the writers wanted to put in a love triange, in a really short show, so unless they wanted to give Korra different friends they pretty much had to get the romantic stuff out of the way first instead of making them be friends and then develop a love triangle that could ruin things.

I also find it hard to believe that they're already at cars and radios and cameras.
