Luna Lovegood and the subject of intellectualism

One of the things I really liked about the character was that she challenged the reader's initial views on the house of Ravenclaw, and since it stands for intelligence, the nature of intelligence itself. All in all, Luna's challenge to the idea of what a person of great wisdom and learning should look like is part of the reason I adore her as a character.
For me too. I have a feeling that Luna as a character makes whole house of Ravenclaw more complex. We know what to expect from Ravenclaws, the same way as we know what to expect from Hufflepuffs and Slytherins, but I think that Luna is only character who breaks this expectations and it's great that there is someone like her in the books. I just wish that there were non-stereotypical Hufflepuffs and Slytherins, too (who am I cheating, I'm still disappointed that all Slytherin students were shown as bad guys).
