The Love-Hat Relationship // Aaron Belz

I adore this poem. ADORE. *scribbles down to keep forever and ever and ever amen*

I fully agree with the love of someone's persona. As a sexual (albeit entirely monogamous) being, there have been people I am not physically attracted to at all but feel entirely drawn to as far as their personality.

I'm a big fan of, "I don't love you, but I love me when I'm with you."

Sometimes someone becomes your favorite hat, and it's no more true and eternal than how you feel about your actual hat, but that's still passion, even if only on the surface.

Yes, I love me when I'm with you is really what it's all about. Or even I love the us I think that you see, too. Sometimes I feel drawn to people I cant personally stand, maybe out of charisma or because they are likable for other reasons. Relationships are so difficult.

(And yes, this poem is AWESOME.)
