I'm zoning back into nostalgia mode because I found Lawrence Yep's 'Child of the Owl' and 'Dragonwings' in my closet while I was rearranging things, and am now thinking of all of my favorite books from when I was little ( Read more... )

Holy Crap! Bruce Coville! I was obsessed with his Unicorn Chronicles books when I was younger, and I got so mad because the friggen Scholastic book fair only ever carried the first two D: I've yet to be able to find a copy of the rest of the series, and I had completely forgotten about it until now (thank yoooouuu)

I was all about the Animorphs and the Goosebump series. I don't know why because I have always had a terribly over-active imagination adn the Goosebump books scared the crap out of me. I had to keep The Werewolf of Fever Swamp locked in my dresser because the cover freaked me out ( ... )

Bruce Coville was my man for a while! I liked his monster stories too, but I don't remember his Unicorn Chronicles. I shall have to check it out.

Goosebumps! I loved those books. I think I subscribed to a Scholastic thing that sent me book packs and there was usually a Goosebumps book in there. I loved it when a new one came out! And then I read his Fear Street books, too. XD

...I would LOVE to read that book, actually. o.o

There was a short period of my life where 'Wait Till Helen Comes' was my favorite book. I don't think I ever read anything else by Mary Downing Hahn, weirdly! But that book was SO CREEPY.

YESSSS. I read that book over and over to savor the creepy. Her other stories were more of the same. I am hooked on ghost stories. Have been, always will be.
