The Rant/Squee Meme:

You, flist, comment with a subject (a character, a show, a pairing, something related to real life, a song, etc) and I'll either rant or squee about it. THEN I'll give you a subject and you have to write a reply in the opposite tone from me (so if I ranted you would have to squee, and vice versa)

politics, fandom, real life, meme

The song Terrified by Katherine McPhee ft. Zachary Levi

I adore it because it's Arcade's voice actor singing (Fallout New Vegas)

Well, the song is really sweet and adorable, and also it's really- I don't know, soothing. I could play this for calming down music. <3

*lol* Since ranting is so expected of me, we'll try some squeeing instead.

I think my favorite tcest writer was kay cricketed. She really introduced me to the Raph/Leo pairing and, in my opinion, no one has yet written it better. There was Lucy Too as well, but I prefer kay's dreamy, disconnected writing style. I liked how she focused on the conenction the two of them had- I really enjoy it when turtlecest explores those connections and the closeness they share. It's an interesting dynamic, because it's just the four of them together forever for all time, and the show makes a big deal about how inseparable they are. I especially like when the dynamics are brought into play, like Leo vs. Raph tension in the relationship, and the occasional Don/Raph that makes use of the rarity of those two interacting.

Amelia Pond (no spoilers for the Christmas Special, please.)

(*lol* I haven't watched the Christmas special yet, so it's good!) There's this thing some people do by calling the child version of the character 'Amelia' and the adult version 'Amy' to keep them separate, so before I squee about both, were you trying to ask about the little girl version only?

Nope, I was asking about Amy in general.

I loved how much of a proactive character she was. Even though her place in the plot was often dictated by the crack in her bedroom wall, she didn't sit idly by and let the plot (or the Doctor) push her about. She made decisions, went on adventures, and didn't let anyone order her around! I liked how Amy's choice was such a central theme in this arc, and how she ended up choosing not to compromise. Also, how she ended up dreaming the world back into existence, because that's pretty damn epic.

For you: River Song!
