I have an ostrich egg. It's huge and, apparently, needs opening with a hammer. Will attempt to achieve scrambled eggs tomorrow. I can't wait!

i don't know what crack i'm smoking, crack, real life, awesome

From Whole Foods, actually. They had those and emu eggs. I was immediately tempted. As ANYONE would be!

Oh yeah, I heard they had 'em there. I'd probably be a bit intrigued myself. OOH and I think you should make a MASSIVE scotch egg with it. XD

*lol* I'd be tempted, but I keep hearing that they're really dry when they're hard-boiled.

Power drill is better. Just drill a hole big enough to put a skewer in and scramble it. Makes delicious giant quiche :D

I admit, I do want the shell intact enough for me to take it places and brag about. And/or paint it. Giant quiche, eh? Sounds enchanting. Got a recipe?

Don't know anything off the top of my head but this crab quiche sounds yummmmm.

Ostrich eggs are about equal to 18 chicken eggs so hopefully you like quiche (or perhaps quiche, custard and cake too?)

I like almost anything involving eggs. If it has eggs in it, I'm there. Ooo, I can make egg tart with it, too!

No lie, this was the first thing I thought of upon reading:

"I'll put that egg in a box, and then I'll put that box in another box and then I'll mail that box to myself, and when it arrives I'll SMASH IT WITH A HAMMER!"

*LOL* Okay, Emperor's New Groove makes everything a jillion times better. I basically pounded a dime-sized hole in the thing and de-egged it with a baster, but that sounds way funnier. XD
