Post-Utena rewatch, and all I can think of is The Sunlit Garden, playing over and over in my head. It probably didn't help that tonight was an especially active night on the Ohtori RP thread. Oh, Utena. Oh, Sunlit Garden. I'd learn piano just to play you.

Anyone have any shout-outs for which episode they want to see me meta first?

No shout outs for an ep. Just saying...6 fuckin' years, and I FINALLY finished watching all of Utena last week

Woah! And now you have fully witnessed the awesome! Congratulations! (You're lucky the series is out. When I was watching the English dubbing was just starting, and I had to: a) wait for each DVD to come out, or b) watch a few fansubs on the net, but no one had the whole series.)

And for my major lift, I ask for the LAST episode. Because Akio was a SUPREME BASTARD in the entire series, but for the last very last episode or two I actually began to feel sorry for him. I had forgotten all about that.

Oh, yes. God, they do that with Touga, too. And it's in a nondisappointing way that doesn't seem like a cop-out, too! I usually get ticked if they redeem the villain. (Akio wasn't redeemed, really. Just given some humanity.)
