Thanks! After I wrote this I discovered that there's a whole genre of "Ianto retcons himself" fic (not to mention the "Jack retcons Ianto" fic). But I haven't seen others quite like this, so it seems I stumbled on a unique variation.

Really painful story. I like that Jack does change - or at least changes his form of cheating once he realizes what he's done to Ianto. But gods! poor Ianto!
