Gotta take the bad wid da good...

So Spring is finally here, Yay! But that last tail slap from Winter killed all the joyous new growth on trees, my mums, some of the irises were trying to bloom...and the stems are all mushy now. Sad. I will give it few days and go cut all the dead tissue off all this stuff and hope it grows back after being so traumatized. I'll be spending some ( Read more... )

While I agree with most of what you had to say above, I really have to disagree with the following:

Children are their MOTHER"S repsonsiblity. Ladies if you lay down and don't prevent and get pregnant, remember it's mans's function in life to do that...procreate. It's YOUR function to nurture, protect, feed, clothe, and teach any child you bring into the world. If you cannot do that, have the decency to avail yourself of the many methods of birth control.

Children are their PARENT'S responsibility. It takes two to make a child, and BOTH are responsible for utilising the many methods available to prevent contraception. (and personally, given that admittedly, it is generally the sperm donar who tries to back out of those obligation, if a man does not want children, then it is his responsibility to acknowledge that and get himself clipped in order to prevent it happening by "accident".)

The garden will recover and bloom again. So will you (just as you have already).

Ack Ack...won't convince me that incubating/carrying and birthing is the same as a few tugs and a squirt. Blunt maybe, but it's pretty much the way it is. Forgive me for being crass. I like the part about getting themselves clipped tho...strange how many men get all fidgety and start handling their parts when the word vasectomy is mentioned. Yet women line up and BEG for their parts to be taken out. Thanks for the hug, and the hopeful words, that really means a lot. ::hugs back::

Oh I'll agree with you most heartily that there is a big difference between the two; that's also why I maintain that until a man can carry a fetus to full term and natural birth, they really have no say in whether or not a woman terminates the pregnancy.

(Yeah, I'm justs full of .... opinions. Yeah, opinions, that's the word I want.)

I like the fact that you use Reiki on your plants, and I can understand that they'd appreciate it more than people. Hee. Most people tend to stop experiencing anything they don't understand.

On a side note, I love to wander through greenhouses, touching leaves and flowers. This kind of freaked out Jim when I first met him, but now he does it, too, although he likes fuzzy leaves better than plain ones.

Why would that freak someone out? I don't undertstand...was he worried about the plants or that the owner might not like it?

Growing up, he never really had contact with plants or animals. He didn't have pets (other than a bird and some fish for a brief period of time), and his family wasn't into houseplants. He thought it was strange to want to touch leaves, and he really thought it was bizarre that I'd do things like pick up woolly bear caterpillars to get them out of the way of bike paths.

Heh. You should have been there when we first got the dog. He didn't know how to deal with her at all, but now he's really good with her and the bunny, and I love watching him go through greenhouses now, touching the plants.
