I am a Stainless Steel Whore with Shiny Spider Webs....lol

I am very easily amused. And cheaply placated as well. Last week I spied Kitchen-Aid utensils at Lowe's. Namely stainless measuring cups and spoons...soooo much better than the ones I have. And since I am planning a yard sale soon....well, they came home with me. I also found a Kitchen-Aid Mezzaluna.

What's a Mezzaluna? Well, exactly what ( Read more... )

:::shudders::: Jumping spiders....there are alot of those down at the pier where Robb likes to fish. One was so big, he played with it with the lure on his pole and the sucker actually POUNCED on the lure!! I had been walking right where the spider was a few minutes before. Good think I never saw while standing there, I would have been off in the water!

The kitchen I have is a 4x8 porch someone thought would be adequate for a kitchen after they ripped out the original kitchen for a dining room.

Here's what the kitchen looks like now.

Are you really doing your kitchen in green and yellow? Those are the colors I decided on too lol. The colors are by Behr, they are called muted colors. the yellow is Moon Dance (ok, yeah I know) and the green is Bayside. I liked Garden Mist for the green but it is just a wee bit too light. The cabinets will be green, the walls yellow. The sink cabinet is going to stay the wood tone. Of course I have to finish the living room and the trim in the bathroom first. It's always something, isn't it. I want a pantry like Rhi's with a pocket door next to the stove with copper ceiling tiles as back and side splash. But, you know me, who knows how it will all look in the end! At least the floor is done!

Absopositively! I"ve wanted a green and yellow kitchen since I can't remember when. I think it has something to do with my grandma's kitchen being yellow and white with red checkerboard accents. I want a country style kitchen. And not the kind with the pine heart cut outs either!

I looked at lots of color combinations and decided that's then one I like best. I would like to have veggie and tomato and herbal posters (like the ones at Lenny's) to put up but unless I lacquer them on the cabinet doors I have no space to put them! I hate heart cutouts too.

Where did you get your new pretties? I have been looking for some stainless measuring spoons that are "sturdy" and not all bendy (cheap).

Love the dream kitchen!

I have noticed that I have TONS more spiders this year!! They are everywhere outside, in the windsowsills in the dining room, along the house close to the ground....everywhere. Rick hate spiders. I have to find a way to get rid of them (gently).

Kitchen Aid...*drool*

I am constantly trolling for cobalt blue KA anything. I'm slowing collecting the small appliances through ebay and resell. Just got the coffee grinder a week or so ago.
