First H/C Bingo square--sexual extortion prompt, star trek ficlet

Ok, so this is my first prompt attempt at the h/c bingo. I think it kind of failed, but I'm trying to stick to my rule, much as I'm tempted to not post this thing at all. It needs some fixing, and I'm not happy with the end. But I'm trying to comply with the rule. It's rough, so if you bother to read it, keep that in mind--it's more of a fic

Ooh. I hurt so much for Gaila in this. Loved that little moment of recognition with Jim at the end.

Thank you for reading it--I know it's kind of rough, and in my head it's a big old angsty mess (esp. because Kirk is kind of a bastard to her later--I've got this notion where she talks a good game, but is plain unused to basic human kindness, and Academy!Jim is underneath it all the kind of guy that offers everyone basic human kindness but not much more, so I have this huge backstory in my head I'll never write), but I'll tweak it later if I can. I'm just trying to get through the bingo and get writing--and finishing--things more, rather than sticking with half-finished snippets.

Oh, I really liked this! Excellent characterization of both Jim and Gaila - she's so vulnerable here, it's heartbreaking.

Thank you for reading it! I just took a look and there were sentences that trailed off into nowhere--I don't think I even proofed this when I posted it. That was rather silly of me--but thank you for your comment! I wasn't sure they were in character--and I wasn't sure I got across what I meant, so I'm truly happy it kind of worked!
