I simply haven't had very much to say, and my correspondence with Jean has provided enough outlet for what little I have had. This is terribly kind of you, but I do not believe Monsieur and Madame can get on without me can have any other manservant who would do half as well would like me to be so troublesome as to be absent whenever I should like!
