"...yet, both of them still love, still adore, still idolize and worship the men who were responsible for their deaths."

*contrite* *and, er, with the miraculous ability to see through strikes* Perhaps I phrased that poorly. Not responsible for her death - no. Involved in, perhaps. In times of war...?

....Mr. Gray, on the other hand, I would call a murderer without a second thought. You, at least, Mr. Justin, did everything you did out of good intentions.

I am back, and I shall serve Madame, and--

*hasn't forgotten - has certainly not forgotten, and never will, as quite literal matters of life and death do tend to stick in one's mind, along with exactly who and in what circumstances one was saved!*

*smiles back in response to his big, sweet, freckly grin, because it's absolutely impossible not to feel happy with that beaming at you, after all* Jean, you're too, too kind, as always - you may have a holiday any time you like or need, you know, of course!

*will simply be glad that that trip is over now, too, and looks forward to the time when HER typist IS SANE AGAIN* *for instance, sane enough to realize, more than a month later, that she never answered poor Jean. oops.*

*oh, oh, oh, he does love her so!*

*of course not. :)* *beams* Oh, no, Madame! This is terribly kind of you, but I do not believe Monsieur and Madame can get on without me can have any other manservant who would do half as well would like me to be so troublesome as to be absent whenever I should like! Besides, I like best to serve Monsieur and Madame, and I'd not be happy doing anything else.

*awww, but that's okay. typist has spent nearly as long replying to other comments. like, for example, Phileas'. but Jean doesn't know how to explaiiiiin OT3 without embarrassing everybody!*
