Tomorrow is the start of a new classes for school. I believe I have Linux and Windows 2000 (or 2003?) professional. There are many things I have to get done. I once attended a WAC meeting... I had fun, yes. But the crowd there just wasn't quite the sort of crowd I would hang out with for extended periods.

The SCA is just a lot easy going. Most folks are mature, yet very friendly and welcoming. There is plenty to do, lots of people to talk to and an even greater amount of places to go if you're inclined to travel the SCA knowne world.

Castel Rouge has always prided itself on being welcoming of newfolk and we have officer posistions (Chatelain and Chatelain Deputy) that specifically welcome and get the newfolk involved as soon as possible. The best way to join the SCA is to jump in. Pick up a sword, sew a tunic, embroider something, goto a cook's guild meeting and dance up a storm whenever the music plays.

I intend to start where I can. I've already spoken to a few people about the embroidery and fabric sessions.

I do want to also take up arms in combat training, go to the cooking guild, perhaps archery and the like. My interests are large, but I have time for them all. I hope to learn and participate in whatever I can.

I intend to dance, as I love to dance. I await the next dance practice as well.

I've always loved that quote...
