Blinking With Fists

I recently bought somebody billy corgans poetry book, blinking with fists, which I decided to read before handing it over. I've never been much of a fan of Mr Corgan, sure the smashing pumpkins are good, but sometimes his vocals grate a little and I've always thought his lyrics were sorta.. dunno, naieve I guess. i find that's the most difficult thing starting out with one of these, is the feeling that you're pretty much putting your thoughts out there for no one, which is about as productive as talking to a brick wall.

i'm actually the opposite in my original approach to blinking with fists though....i've always had the hugest thing for billy corgan (both appearance-wise, and musically, to be quite honest) so, picking up this book seemed like the natural course of things. (though, i still haven't actually managed to finish it, because i have this horrible habit of reading five books at a time.)

haha, it's mad how people can read tonnes of books at a time, I tend to get obsessed with them and don't put them down for ages, just finished reading Angels & Demons by Dan Brown, it's great. But yeah, Blinking with fists, for such a short book it takes ages to read cos it's worth reading each poem several times or maybe it's cos I find poetry quite hard to decipher a lot cos I take metaphors too literally quite often.. hm.
