Catching up from missed word war

Apr 11, 2017 22:58

So last week I totally failed on the word war, because I was exhausted from caring for my daughters who were both sick all week. Since I wasn't able to write much then, and since I can't seem to write without a deadline of some sort, I'm pretending the word war is today through Friday. I'm going to post my word count here for accountability ( Read more... )

I can't think of one off the top of my head. Considering that in the legends he's usually either Arthur's son, or his nephew, it's difficult to find one. It's probably easiest to just pick one.

I usually prefer to give characters a last name that reminds me of their characters in canon. I once gave Nimueh the last name Eilean, which is Gaelic for Island. And I gave Elena the last name Marshal, which has something to do with horses. So, you know, just make something up that you think fits him?

Yeah, I couldn't think of a surname often used for Mordred, but I just thought I'd check! I like your idea of using a surname that fits their personality or background. I'll have to think on that... Thanks!

Yeah, I agree with momo -- I can't think of an accepted fandom surname for Mordred, but that doesn't mean you can't come up with one :D

I think doing your own word war sounds like a great idea! Good luck hitting your goal :)

I didn't think I remembered any surname typically used for Mordred, but sometimes I have trouble remembering things, so I wasn't sure. I'll come up with something... he's a fairly minor character in this fic, so it doesn't matter much anyway.

And thanks! I think I have a decent chance of hitting my goal, and this is getting me excited about this story again, so hopefully I can write again without word wars!
