Who: Reeve, Lapiz WEAPON, Cloud, Tifa Status: Closed When: 12:30 AM Where: Sector 4 border, Edge What: A necessary trip home ends up getting a little complicated.
The WEAPON crouched down low to the ground as the human moved to stand up. Growling lowly at the back of its throat, the dragon attempted to extend out its broken and tattered wings in a show of intimidation while it attempted to place the scent of the human. Scooting back a step as it was addressed, it snarled softly in warning at the president as they spoke and paused briefly before standing up

"The one and only- I hope," Reeve commented, wincing slightly at the grip. "I was out for a walk when it damn near ran over me. In the sort of shape it's in... I didn't figure letting it roam around alone would be a good idea." Not that roaming around unarmed and without bodyguards was a great idea for him either, but in the Planet's view, he sort of figured the WEAPON was a higher priority.
He glanced around a bit- it had been a few days since he'd been in the bar, and it had a strangely empty feel to it, somehow. "... how've things been going here? I meant to call earlier, but things happen." Reeve gave her an apologetic smile. It wasn't quite fair that Tifa was so often left out of the loop.
Tifa didn't respond to Reeve right away, but instead kept a very close eye on the creature that was sniffing around the bar. Not like she had a lot of expensive things in the bar, but having the WEAPON go haywire and tearing up the place was not something that she wanted to deal with.
It didn't look like it was in that great of shape, like Reeve said. Maybe it wasn't a bad idea to keep an eye on it, but she wasn't sure if she wanted them to keep an eye on it in her bar.
"Things are fine, is it okay for this thing to be here?" Flicking her eyes to the ceiling of the bar, she knew that Marlene and Denzel were fast asleep and she didn't want them to wake up to see the WEAPON here. It looked nervous just by having her there, and two kids would only make it worse. "Maybe we should try to get ahold of Cloud. I'm sure he'd want to know this thing is okay."
While it knew of the focused attention on its wanderings, the WEAPON gave no acknowledgement to it as it continued on with its investigation. The area appeared to be free from the darkness, and after making its way down towards the back of the bar, the small dragon could pick up the last remaining scents of blood disappeared from the floor.
It was a familiar scent, and after lingering in the area for a moment longer, it deemed it to be too old of a scent to cause alarm. Grunting softly at its finding, the WEAPON forced its aching body to sit on its haunches before it glanced back over its shoulder towards the pair. While the creature couldn’t understand the words being spoken, its gleaming crimson eyes gave off the distinct impression of intelligence as it sat there watching them both for the moment.
"... I don't know." Reeve knew what Tifa was worried about, and shared the concern- the last thing they needed was for Marlene or Denzel to get hurt because of the dragon. "If it's agreeable, I could keep it at my apartment- the entire bottom floor is a garage, there'd be plenty of room." As long as the beast didn't try to tear up his pet projects, anyway. And why was he even referring to the creature as being able to make a decision like that? He shook his head, rubbing his temples briefly.
After a moment, he dug his cellphone out of his back pocket. "Best to, since from what I hear, it's his pet." Forcing back a yawn- he had hoped to be catching a quick nap by this point, not chasing a WEAPON across Edge- he hit the speed-dial and waited for Cloud to pick up. Reeve flashed Tifa a quick smile, entirely forced. "Needs to keep it on a leash, though."
The loud crashing through the door was what managed to attract his attention, and Cloud sat up in bed with the idea that whoever was breaking into their house needed the scare of their lives. He had only managed to sneak into bed two hours ago, but the banging and muffled voices from downstairs made it clear that he was not about to get much sleep tonight. Best to get them before they attempted to steal anything or come up the stairs and frighten the children

"I don't care where we keep it, as long as it's not in this house," she said, rather firmly as she kept a very close eye on the WEAPON. It didn't appear to be doing anythign harmful at the moment, but that didn't mean that Tifa was going to give it a chance. It was wanted by Sephiroth, that she knew, and that was enough of a reason to get that thing out of there and fast

All throughout the exchange, the WEAPON kept its gaze focused over its shoulder at the pair. Yet even as they discussed its fate, the small dragon began to hear the telltale sound of movement going on elsewhere in the building. Blinking its crimson eyes, it craned its head around to follow the unusual sound as it moved through the rooms and halls.
The WEAPON emitted a small near-inaudible chortle at the appearance of the blonde warrior. Instantly pushing itself up to stand, the dragon spun around on its heels, and in its excitement, it leapt off into a run towards its target despite its recovering body.
He started to reply to Cloud through his cell, even though the blond was standing in front of him, but the phone beeped once before going dark. The battery was dead for good this time. Sighing, Reeve folded it up and pocketed it again. "Bringing your pet home to you wasn't good enough, Cloud?" Reeve asked. The ex-SOLDIER looked like shit. Bandages and bruises... so even he had problems with the mystery women. That was a sobering thought. "I can always come up with something else-"
Uh oh. Reeve recognized the WEAPON's stance all too well- it was how his cats usually looked right before they decided to pounce on some unsuspecting mouse (or his bare feet, depending on how bored they were). He took two steps back to get out of the creature's way. Far be it from him to get between an animal and its pet human.
As realization dawned him on - and Reeve pocketed the phone - Cloud folded his cell and tucked it into his pocket before he made a half-hearted attempt to smooth his hair flat. "I thought you were a robber," he murmured sleepily before his eyes fell on the WEAPON that looked inured. It was always injured, it would seem

Tifa gasped and backed up a little as the WEAPON charged at Cloud, half thinking that it was going to attack him. Instead, it pounced on him like a large dog would greet his master, which made Tifa chuckle softly under her breath. Perhaps it was a little like Cloud's own pet, but not one that Tifa particularly approved of. As long as it stayed by Cloud and didn't try to venture the house or wake up the kids, it was all right for the moment.
At Cloud's question at where it came from, Tifa also turned her head to wait for Reeve's answer. "Yeah, and where it's going to be safe?"
Its path went uninterrupted as it sailed through the air and was soon met with the satisfying buffer of Cloud’s body as the WEAPON slammed into it. They both fell down to the ground as the dragon trapped the Planet’s warrior beneath it. Chortling loudly at the blonde as they pet its head, the dragon eventually pushed itself off to sit beside Cloud’s body as the other moved himself into a seated position.
Dropping down to lay on the floor, its head came to rest on the side of Cloud’s thigh as its glinting red eyes remained trained on the other two humans present.
"I don't know where it came from... but wherever it was, it was in a hell of a hurry to get away," he mused after a moment's pause. "I ran into it- well, it damn near ran me over- a few blocks from my apartment. Didn't think it should wander the streets alone, so I tagged along. I suppose I should have figured it would come here

Yawning to himself, Cloud leaned back on his arms and looked at the WEAPON sitting beside him. It looked a right mess, like someone had been cutting into it. Certainly, he expected that whoever had kidnapped the WEAPON had wanted to get the Black Materia. Did that mean that it was gone? Had they lost a very important item and now had no idea where it was?
He frowned deeply, half listening to what Reeve was saying. The new location sounded just fine, and if the Black Materia was gone, that meant that Sephiroth would no longer track it. He reached out with his right hand and pet the scales on the WEAPON's neck. "Any sign of Sephiroth following it? He can track the Black Materia... though, it wasn't him who took the WEAPON."
Slowly, his left hand rose and uncurled to show the dark number etched into the skin of his palm. "Can he still follow you," he asked the WEAPON lying next to him and settled his left palm experimentally against the WEAPON's breast.
There was a sudden overpowering ringing in his ears. It's here. It's here... TAKE

"All right, that spot sounds just fine." Looking at the clock, she noted the time and then listened upstairs to make sure there wasn't pitter pattering of small feet. It was quiet, which was good. "Can you take it there tonight? I don't want this thing here all night getting into things."
In a way, she felt kind of guilty dumping the situation into Reeve's hands, but she didn't want to leave it in Cloud's. He was still wounded and not up to his full strength, not to mention that he looked rather irritated at being woken up and she didn't want to have to deal with a cranky Cloud in the morning.
In midyawn, she saw Cloud move away from the WEAPON extremely quickly adn she didn't have a clue to why, but her yawn was instantly cut short. "Cloud, are you--" unable to finish her statement, she tried to put the pieces together before he said that it was there. The Black Materia. "Oh..." she said under her breath, not having anything else to say about it. She just wished it didn't exist.
The WEAPON remained calmly by Cloud’s side as they all spoke among each other. It was no longer paying attention to the tones used in the conversation, but instead enjoying the strokes running along the length of its neck. Relaxing its body for the first time since it was abducted, the WEAPON contently growled at the treatment given to it before Cloud’s voice stole its attention. Glancing up towards the blonde as they spoke, the dragon pushed itself back up to sit up as they glanced at their left palm. Its crimson gaze watched the limb with a slight bout of apprehension before it felt the warmth of Cloud’s hand pressed up against its breast
