His mind felt sluggish and foggy. It was the first thing that Sephiroth noticed as he slowly began to wake up from his drug-induced sleep. There was a definite difficulty in focusing his thoughts when he first attempted such things, which created a subtle frown forming along the bridge of his slender brows. What was going on ( ... )

When it became apparent that Sephiroth was awakening, the soft chattering of the three scientists came to a stop. All three watched the hanging creature with a sort of pleased hostility. This one was more of a monster than the sleeping WEAPON afterall. It would be best to keep in mind that, unlike the WEAPON, Sephiroth would not hesitate in killing them outright for something even as petty as pleasure or revenge ( ... )

Sephiroth’s gaze never averted from the red-haired scientists figure. There was no doubt within his mind of just who this man reminded him of, and he felt the beginnings of a dark pleasure welling up within at the thought of disembowelling this vermin. It wouldn’t be as satisfying as slaying that inept excuse for a man, but considering the fact that Hojo was dead; it was a suitable second choice.

His gaze held a certain level of unpleasant obsession within them as he watched their every movement. While he wasn’t focused on the other two, it didn’t mean that he wasn’t aware of their every movement.

“Oh?” There was a certain amount of amusement in that simple little sound, and his lips began upturning into the beginnings of a far too pleased smile as his attention slid back to regard the dark-haired scientist finally. “Now why would I ever desire to do something like that?”

They had expected this resistance. It was much like dealing with a stubborn child, one who had been allowed a loose leash for far too long. The tallest frowned, but it was the red-haired scientist who scribbled a few notes down before stepping forward, a sly smirk pulling his lips. It was a mirror of someone else.

He had freakles across his cheeks, but his green eyes were dark and there was a firm dislike for Sephiroth there. "Because, dear son of Hojo, I know how to deconstruct you. You are only alive due to the fact you may prove useful."

The plump scientist looked more nervous if that was possible, but the tallest chuckled softly. "Quigley, let us not get dirty too quickly. This could be a pleasant conversation if Sephiroth was given proper motivation."

The red-head named Quigley waved a dismissive hand. "If we wanted someone useful, we would have grabbed the hero of the planet. This piece of failure is only back because of the greatness of his father," he said with a sneer of dislike, as if Sephiroth had taken away something ( ... )
