At last, time for lunch, and more importantly, a cigarette. She stepped out front and leaned against the wall near the door, fishing a cigarette and lighter from her pocket. Lighting it, Scarlet took a long drag on the cigarette, grateful for a few moments to herself.
As she smoked, she considered lunch. She didn't have much money, but there looked to be a few decent coffeeshops nearby. For the moment, she stayed where she was, enjoying the smoke and trying to make it last as long as she could.

Man. This was just weird to see her. And kinda impossible. He still didn't know how the hell she even managed to find her way back to the living. But that wasn't the point. Rufus had said to bring her in and that was all he wanted to do right now so that he could go back to the office and finally sleepFor a moment, he hesitated, then stepped out of the car onto the crowded sidewalk. It was actually lucky that it was raining because it gave him the excuse to open an umbrella, letting him blend in easier. His overcoat was enough to hide most of his telltale uniform. He honestly wasn't sure whether Scarlet was trying to avoid Shin-Ra or if she just hadn't had the opportunity to make contact. Better that she not spot him in case she'd start running away or something ( ... )

"Yes, but I admit I've had better," she said. She turned toward him, confirming that it was, in fact, Reno. She wondered why he was here. Turks were usually either sent to locate or destroy a target, and if it was the latter she would be in trouble. The little gun in her purse would be hard to get to quickly. But then, he probably would have done it by now...
"Good morning, Reno," she said calmly. "And what brings you here?"

Reno cocked his head, indicating the obviousness of the answer to her question. "Well, you. Heard you were around, thought I'd drop by and say hi. 'Cause y'know, how many people get to say they've talked to the dead?"
He handed her the umbrella. Partly because she was getting a little wet, but mostly because he didn't want to hold onto it anymore. He hated having something tying up his hands. If she didn't take it, he'd probably just leave it leaning against the wall out here.
"Think you can get away with taking an extra long lunch break?"
