MINOR GRIPE OF THE DAY: Starbucks' Marketing Department doesn't seem to think that Oklahomans are interested in having a collector's mug featuring skylines and trivia information about our major cities. What the heck? If I cross the Red River and travel far enough, ( Read more... )

Sorry, you guys do not have a large enough Metro region to get a mug. The question about NASA is not manned versus rocket. It is man versus robots. Robots cannot adapt as well to their environment, but they are a lot cheaper to send into space. Anthropomorphized robots make me cry.

Actually, the area of the Metro OKC region is second only to the greater Los Angeles Metro Area. There's just.... kind of nothing in this one, really....

Actually, metro OKC is *WAY* bigger than metro LA. If you remove consolidated area cities from the mix, the largest cities in the US are: Oklahoma City, Houston, Phoenix, Los Angeles and San Antonio.
If you count consolidated areas and set a "metro population" to equal 500,000 or more people - Jacksonville FL comes in first, and OKC second; then Honolulu, Houston, Phoenix, Nashville, and LA.

Oklahoma don't rate? Starbuck's started in a city & state nobody knew about (pre-Bill Gates; '71), save for that town with a name that you dropped just to get a laugh in the southeast (Walla Walla). Like the Unibomber did't put you guys on the map, national mindset-wise, so why don't they get off their f*cking high horse?

(I'm a Canadian, so I'll have some views of my own from our perspective re Health Care, so, yeah, I answered the quiz.)

Obamacare is unconstitutional, because any federal spending on health care is unconstitutional. Repeal it (along with Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security and all other federal social welfare spending) and don't replace it with anything.

Iran getting a nuke shouldn't worry us a bit. We're far more dangerous to the region than Iran is, and it poses no threat to the USA. As for Iran's neighbors, that's their problem. We shouldn't have any troops overseas at all anyway. They're nothing but sitting ducks, tripwire targets or aggressors, and I don't approve of any of those situations, nor the costs incurred in deploying them.

Hmmm... I wonder what other states out there don't have such mugs in their respective Starbucks stores.

Not sure who DOESN'T have them, but I've gotten connections to send me Toronto and Atlanta. I got my first one in Hong Kong, I've got about 10 now. Found myself a Whistler one when I went up to Vancouver for the Olympics.

I think after seeing how the rest of the world has reacted to the Iraq situation, the US needs to just ignore Iran. Let them develop the bomb. Let them use it, as long as it's not used against us. If we find them planning to bomb us, we turn them into a glass parking lot. Anyone else? Let Iraq do what they want.
