Jason woke up to find himself alone in his bed. A feeling of dread washed over him when he first thought Mac had gone again, but then she was maybe just all a figment of his imagination. Something he dreamt up in his deep depression. But the bedroom curtains had been tucked open just a little bit to let a small amount of light in an a scented ( Read more... )

"Good mornin'?" Sam replied huskily. She had stumbled out of bed intent on coffee, only to find the jar in the hands of Mac. Mac who she had no idea was even in the house, let alone Austin. "That's all ya got? Exactly when were either of ya gonna fuckin' tell me what was goin' on?!"

She looked between them both before rubbing her eyes with the heel of her palm, and then looking at them again. "You've had sex!" There was a hint of accusation in her tone, but mostly she just seemed happy about it. "Oh my god, are ya back together? How long has this been goin' on?"

When Taylor woke up that morning, she was feeling fragile. Not in a physicaly sense, even if the sex had been intense. It was like she had an emotional hangover. She wasn't sure where she stood with Jason, and she was feeling strange about being in this strange house, back in Texas. Seeing Jason had stirred up all the old feelings, for both of them it seemed. Sex had just been the only way they could really connect again without ending up emotional wrecks. That still might come. She was tired, hence seeking out coffee. She wasn't hungry, she just felt off colour, probably from nerves about what was going to happen next. She hadn't forgotten that Tim told her Sam moved to Austin too, but it had slipped her mind until she was suddenly there, and then Jason was there, and after being away for all those months trying to heal, Taylor was suddenly faced with them both again and her cheeks heated up ( ... )

Jason could see Taylor was spooked. This couldn't be easy for her in any way. He glanced at Sam and then wheeled himself over to Taylor, carefully getting the coffee from her hands and handing it to Sam. He kissed Taylor's hand softly, trying to get her to see that he was okay. "We don't know anything yet, S. Mac got here yesterday. She... I don't know how she got here," he realised, blinking in confusion. "But she did, and we have to talk about stuff. Because it was just... unexpected." He was floundering a little too, and he couldn't deny the sex thing. If he tried, Sam would know he was lying.

Sam turned to start making coffee, giving them both a moment to flounder before she started with the twenty questions. When she'd spooned enough into the coffee maker she flicked it on and turned back to face Mac as she let out a deafening squeal and threw her arms around her friend. "You're really here! Ya came back. But how did ya come back? Ya said you wouldn't... Even if this isn't Dillon, I really didn't think ya would come back. I'm so glad ya here. This is better than any news I got."

She squeezed Mac tightly, turning her head enough to look at Jason. She gave him a smile and a wink. This had to be a good thing, didn't it? Even if they had talking to do. Sam would let them talk, but first couldn't there just be a moment of happiness?
