Apparently I'm leaving for the Middle East tomorrow morning. I've had medical conferences in Vienna and London, but this seems to be an entirely new kind of professional voyage. For one, it involves subtle lies to my non-tale coworkers.

I don't resent an opportunity to travel, but it does make one wonder about the sorts of hoops one is expected to
