Also, did I ever mention that this was my very first story I've ever written online? I don't think I have. Anywho. <3you guys, I'm making up for my being gone with a ... slightly depressing chapter.
okay, super depressing.

The days were speeding by, and the pregnancy was just an every day thing now. Alex had all of these freaky cravings, and Jack obliged. He made him anything he wanted and did whatever he wanted him to. It was like the two were married.

Speaking of marriage. Jack really wanted to do something special for Alex, and propose to him. He knew they had their problems and everything, sure, But the two were destined to be together for the rest of their lives. Jack was almost certain.

He listened as Alex groaned from across the room. His stomach was pretty damn big, he was seven months pregnant now. Jack stopped going to his college class to stay with him all the time.

Recently however, Jack had noticed when Alex said he was going out to his childcare sessions that he was going to to learn learn how to take care of their baby, Alex was making a left instead of a right out of their driveway.

Some nights, he'd come home and not want to talk, and smell faintly of alcohol.

Jack had a feeling he'd picked up on his habits of drinking again, and it scared him.

What had Alex become-- and better yet, who was giving a pregnant person alcohol?!

The answer only came clear when they were going out the one night. It was going to be the night where they would go to see Rian and Zack for the first time since Alex had run off. Jack had made sure that the two had no knowledge about the pregnancy. Therefore, he'd told them that they had great news, and he'd tell them when they could move back in. They obliged since they knew Alex had mental illness, so now they were off to meet them.

"Jack," Alex called from the car. "Can you get my phone? It's on the bed table."

Jack nodded and made his way back into the house, walking into the bedroom that the two shared. His phone was on the bedtable, and he bit his lip, deciding whether or not to snoop.

And then it flashed and vibrated, and he picked it up and read.

'Hey, babe, I've been wanting to talk to you since last week. Txt back?<33'

'Lexy, let's hang out tonight. You and me, and we can talk about the baby.'

'Alexander, you need to txt me back. Wht about moving ?'

'You said you were moving in and away from Jack, right?'

'Alex. You. Need. To. Pick. Up.'

'I miss seeing your privates.'

Every. Single. Text. Was. From. Oliver.

At about the third text, Jack was in tears.

He wiped his eyes however, and trudged back to the car.

"Take your fucking phone," he snapped, throwing it at Alex before getting in the driver's seat. Alex only frowned, not sure what he was so pissed about, and just sighed. He stuck it in his pocket and the two silently rode to Zack and Rian's new place.

When they pulled up, Jack got out first, his tears vanished and invisible as he got to the front door. He knocked, Rian opening it first and smiling, seeing nothing but the upper half of Alex in the car. "Well, is he coming out?"

"Get Zack."

Zack appeared half awake behind Rian, stretching. "What's such a big deal? You don't let us see our best friend for almost six months and this is what we get, waiting?"

Alex bit his lip and opened the door, waddling basically to the other side of the car and making his way to the front door. He was holding onto his stomach and biting his lip, Rian's mouth hanging open and Zack unable to form words.

"No fucking way," he said quietly.

"I'm happy for you two." Zack nodded and smiled, hugging Jack.

Jack didn't hug back. The four went into the house and caught up a bit, and Jack explained why they had to move out. Considering they'd need room for the baby, Jack knew something had to happen. But as the night went on, he saw Alex getting antsy, and looking at his phone a lot. When Rian and Zack left for a minute to go get a board game, Jack snapped completely.

"If you're so excited about something why don't you just go hang out with Oliver?" he asked bitterly.

"What?" Alex frowned, furrowing his brows.

"I read your texts. Go move out with him or something, stupid slut."

Jack could feel the tears stinging his eyes, but Alex was completely crying. He stood up and took a hand to Jack's face, the red rushing to it immediately.

"You stupid fucking bitch, listen to me. You accuse me constantly of things I don't do. I hang out with Oliver because he listens to me, he doesn't judge me, he lets me tell him anything. And he can listen to me about my baby problems, and he gives me alcohol when I want it, and calms me, and acts like he loves me. You  don't love me anymore, Jack!" Alex was almost choking on his tears and Jack was in shock.

"You're crazy. Alex. I love you so--"

"Shut up!" Alex screeched and wiped his eyes, walking out and slamming the door, ready to bawl, and made his way down the street.

Alex dialed Oli.

"Hullo?"

"Oli, it's Alex. I freaked out on him."

"I told you that you would."

Alex sniffed and wiped his eyes. "Uh huh. I need you to pick me up."

"You realize he's an ass now?"

"Uh huh."

"I'll be at the gas station in ten minutes."

Alex hung up, and sat at the corner, biting his lip and crying. He didn't know why he freaked out.

It was just because Oli told him to, probably.

---

Jack sat on Rian and Zack's couch, balancing his phone in his hands. He'd called Alex twenty-three times and no answer. He wiped his eyes and felt terrible about something he didn't do, but he didn't know it. He sniffled and Zack kissed his cheek, rubbing his back comfortingly.

"He'll come back before he's due," Zack reassured. "You know it."

But now, Jack wasn't too sure.
