Private to Rassilon, Rani, and Cobra Commander

I believe we all would be interested in seeing a lab which inmates would have access to, particularly in light of the recent outbreak. I think we all would also agree that it is highly unlikely that the wardens will grant us this, no matter how detrimental cutting off the input of some of the greatest minds on this ship will be to the whole. I am in agreement with this plan.

I see, and what a terrible logic yours is. I would have said 'tends to be' but you've proven me otherwise. So you propose each and every one of us invests our time and possibly, integrity, into helping one another; whereas that might take our time away and may or not offer an advantage over every other inmate. I'm sure you are aware that such investment as the one you propose will never be fully returned. That is: if you do not know what someone else is researching, why would you lend them your hand? Do not forget, the hand which feeds is also often the first to be bitten.

And that is something you would do good in trying to avoid!

First, be sure to know what every one of them is doing with their supplies and then! Then you may strike.

Ah, but you see, if I give the impression that I expect to know what they are researching, they will naturally ask me what I am researching. It is easier, then, to give the impression of confidentiality. I have my own ways of getting the information I desire.

Furthermore, should I not find my research greatly expedited, I simply plan to dissolve the union. Regard this as an experiment of sorts, to see which method of working is more efficient.

I do not expect others to go greatly out of their way to get these things, or myself, for that matter, but rather, use the openings that become clear to each of us to gain whatever we can that may be of use to any of us. By not expecting this, I can demand that this not be expected of me.

You try to place yourself ahead of them and yet forget that they might -- nay, they are -- doing exactly the same. After all, is it not the human mind the less interesting to crack! Why, indeed it is.

As it is, I have informed you of my standings and I wish you the best of luck, my friend.

Of course. You are free to take as long as you like to consider, as my offer has no expiration date. I simply regret the fact that inmates are forced to weaken and die from diseases that they themselves could cure, given the proper equipment.

However, if you are not interested in this, I will understand completely, and we will be able to research even without your aid. The Rani has a microscope that can magnify beyond the ability of even the latest human technology, and I have been able to acquire skin and hair samples from others on the Barge, which is available for testing. It would be a great loss, however, if a great mind such as your own was not able to contribute to our findings.

Yes, that is a shame, isn't it.

What kind of research are you interested in?

Biological, primarily. Currently my goal is to find a cure for this virus, which could be used to gain leverage to access the infirmary, something I believe would be valuable to all of us. Beyond that, I simply wish to supply your own research...in whatever field that may be. In return I'd ask only for access to any equipment you may have should I ever need it.
