tonight, my friend Tom and I were sitting on the stoop, because the weather is nice enough to do that, and as he is every now and again wont to do, he simply proposes, "Let's go to Paris."
and I said, "I know someone in Paris."
so expect two Hamilton kids to show up on your doorstep, BECAUSE YOU'RE THE PERSON I KNOW IN PARIS.
You deserve an email, but really I just did a super long post and I don't want to type much more at the moment. But I'm back. And I miss you so much it almost hurts. And is there ANY WAY i could talk to you on the phone? Cuz seriously, typed words are not the same.
WELL. I think it's exciting to be in Paris in time of such conflict. Being forced to get off the bus because there are protest sitting in the middle of Saint Micheal. As for thoughts on the situation, I don't really have one because I don't know that much about it! Isn't that disgusting?I don't understand the news very well yet but soon!
that's cool. it would be kind of weird to be there now.. do you know anyone protesting?
hey--here's what I know about it -- the students are angry about the CPE which is a new law saying that the employers can fire anyone under 26 for any reason the first two years they are in a job. The youth are protesting because it is already hard enough to get employed-- and now they are facing more discrimination from the government. Plus that would mean that a boss could fire you because he didn't like the cologne you wear or the fact that you like the eagles or something.
France is just making it impossible to get a job in any case. They've got too many labor laws that don't make much sense.
