Room 423, Monday after classes [2/18]

There was only so much socializing that Hoshi could stand before needing a little quiet time. And after a very busy Friday and Saturday, Hoshi pretty much disappeared into her room for the remainder of the weekend.

Annette was somewhat dreading this but after work, she decided to stop by Hoshi's room and talk to her. About things.

She knocked on the frame. "Hey, Hoshi, you got a minute or two?"

"Sure. Come in," said Hoshi. "Would you like some tea? I was just making some."

[misshargrove]

"Sure, that'd be nice, thank you," Annette said as she walked in. "How are you today?"

Hoshi poured two mugs of tea and handed one to Annette. "I'm okay," she said. "Just kind of winding down a bit. This weekend was pretty crazy. How about you? Jack said that you guys had a really good time at the dance."

Jack rapped on the open door. "Hoshi? You got a minute?"

"Sure, come in," said Hoshi, waving Jack over to a chair. "Did you want some green tea? I just made a fresh pot."

"No, that's allrigh--yeah. Tea would be great."

He looked out into the hallway and shut the door. He sat in the chair, burying his head in his hands for a moment.

"Hoshi? What do you think of me?"

Subtle Jack was subtle.
