[OPEN TO ALL]

Out of all the things in his life that Ethan had worked towards and achieved, he was pretty sure he had never been this exhausted in his life. The wedding was over, and Stuart and Tom had finally managed to tie the knot, only one hour later than originally expected. Stuart had arrived at the ceremony just as Tom was about to panic, ( Read more... )

Two weddings in two days and Aoife was starting to feel a little like she might never be sober again. She wasn't exactly drunk, but she wasn't exactly in a fit state to be driving, or operating heavy machinery. It also served to make her a little more brazen than usual and given that there wasn't a crowd following Neil around at the private party, she sucked in a breath and made her way over to him.

As soon as she was close enough she threw her arms around his neck and pulled him into a passionate kiss as she pressed her body against his. Her eyes were dark when she pulled back, and she gave him a huge smile. "Hello, stranger."

"Well, aye," Aoife admitted with a slightly sheepish look. "But it's also more argument why a relationship would be disastrous anyway. Clearly we can't talk without getting wires crossed, so hey, casual sex is win?" she offered with a slightly hopeful look. "By the way, I'm not even suggesting for a second that a relationship would just happen. I just like you, Neil. You made me feel good. I'm selfish enough to want some more of that if and when you do have time. I know you're busy, I really do, but I'll just take any little bit I can get. If you want to give it."

Aoife laughed softly. "So I heard. Ethan's already offered to take the family to France so Ciaran can see Monet's gardens. I don't know when it will happen, but I think that's part of what brought on the Batman thing with the private jet. Euan's definitely that for Ci already. You can tell when he looks at his Dad. I don't know, probably not. He's the best at his job, no denying. I'm just glad he did manage to find something like that to keep him going."

Neil glanced at her with a small smile. "That is what I pretty much proposed off the bat, remember? Casual sex I can do. It comes without stress and right now, my life as it is, the least stress the possible. Everything has felt that little bit more harder with all the family dramas exploding all over the place. I'm just glad I've been here for it. Not sure what I would have done if I was stuck in Australia through it all."

"Wow. France is cool. I went to Paris once, but the language totally goes over my head. I just know everyone who talks it sounds super sexy. Meanwhile, I've managed to pick up an odd mash-up of hints of Aussie and Londoner. So, is Euan relieved he missed out on all the crying an dirty nappies and baby puke to get the ready-made kid? Or does he wish he had all those years? He's a great copper. Liam trusted him. Which was lucky. I don't think he would have been as forthcoming if it was just Stuart and Gee. I don't doubt they're excellent, too, but with the whole past with Tom, it was a bit awkward."

Aoife pointed at her read hair and then her glasses. "In my defence I'm Irish, and a near-sighted redhead. Kinda not sporting the greatest of genes, aye? I'm a little slow to get to the same conclusion as blond, blue-eyed, gorgeous actors. I don't want to give you stress. I am all for very much being of the de-stressing camp. So... do you want to maybe give it a try? I think you would have wound up just coming back here, right?"

"I don't think there's anything wrong with your accent. It's cute. Very sexy. Frenchmen could be overrated. Way too suave for their own good. I don't know, he hasn't really said. I think it's very possible that he would have wanted to be there from the start. I don't know how he would have gone with the nappies and everything. It would have been interesting to see. Aye, I heard a wee bit about that. Awkward wouldn't even begin to cover it. Euan's my little brother, but I know he's a good cop. I'm just glad to be close to him again."

Neil sniggered. "Sure, Irish. I've heard the jokes. Let's just say we take each day, yeah? That's how I go with everything else. If you'e fine with that, we're cool. And sounds that easy, right? But no. When you're an actor, you're contracted and when you're a key part, the show relies on you to stick to their schedule. You have to be basically dead or half dead to get out of that. Or going to a funeral."

"Cute? Well, you don't have your brothers calling you Crocodile Dundee left, right and centre, so I'll forgive that deduction," he said in amusement as he took another sip of his drink. "He would have been fine. Hell, if I can do it, Euan can. It's gotta be hard, though. No baby pictures, not seeing the first smile or steps. On the flipside, no toilet training, no Terrible Twos, no tantrums in the supermarket... some days, I seriously sympathise with my folks for putting up with all us through that. So, you liking London?"

Aoife nodded as she held out her hand. "You have a deal, Mr Morgan. Also, I suddenly really don't like the idea of acting, or being famous in anyway. Death should not be the only excuse for something. What happens if you're sick? Or something happens with your family? What if you just really want to skive off?"

Aoife laughed softly as she tucked some hair behind her ear. "I'm not your brothers either, so I still say cute. I can't even imagine seven kids. Our parents probably had their hands full with the three of us. Aye, I am. London's interesting. Busy, a little hectic, but interesting."
