Last Sunday I heard an older missionary tell one of the MKs that who she married would impact her life way more than where she went to college. And he is so right! Who you marry and how you marry will have a far, far more lasting impact on your life (and all your relatives, too!) than almost anything you can imagine.
Have you read Luke's blog on the subject of purity, dating and marriage? He wrote reams about it when he and Yuko were dating. If you have loads of time you can read his archives at http://gaijinlore.blogspot.com/ but you can also read the condensed version in the Very Merry Christmas entry at http://lukeandyuko.blogspot.com/

I recently witnessed a conversation between two friends about someone's marriage. One responded to the other something of the sort, "...oh! they already got a divorce?" I think it's totally absurd. Marriage is and should be kept sacred. It's like people expect it not to last. If problems develop between you and your spouse, you should be able to work things out as christians. There is no hurdle two united people should not be able to overcome.
