So last night I found out my brother in law tested positive for cancer. He has spots on his liver, but they haven't located it anywhere else. It is rare for the liver to be the first organ effected, so they are doing lots of tests. Hopefully they can just cut out the spots. Wow, talk bout mixing the good with the bad. We're glad you two have a place to live, but sorry to hear about the health challenges your family is going through. You and Jay are in our thoughts.

Yay for out of state move survival!

Things got complicated here....
1) my mom decided to stay in WA state
2) we are negotiating to work at an African NGO for at least a year.
so we are in Seattle for at least a few months and then, hopefully, we are shipping off to Tanzania for a bit. Babyhood may happen soon after our return.

I am excited and nervous all at the same time. I'll be posting about all of the adventures soon....

You're welcome! My dad died from cancer the week before my graduation in 1998, my brother committed suicide in 2003, and right after that, my mother was diagnosed with cancer. Her cancer is currently in remission, so I know what it's like to try to stay sane.
