In the end, a proposal to share the owner's Internet service fell through as she did not hear back from a computer support guy who would be able to do it and answer my questions about some network settings I needed. Therefore, I went ahead with getting a separate Internet-only line from Comcast, which unfortunately didn't allow me to get the $19.99
