I can't breath for baileigh_solis

The feeling of not being able to breath was getting worse and Claire was sure that she was going to burst at any moment.  She needed to talk to someone who wasn't going to freak out on some level when she talked to them.  She needed to talk to someone who wasn't going to look at her like she had lost her mind or had somehow committed a crime.  Like ( Read more... )

The knock hadn't interrupted anything but Baileigh reading a book and running her fingers through Julian's while he rested his head in her lap and tapped at the keys on his laptop, replying to e-mails that she did not care to know the content of. They shared a quizzical glance, and Baileigh shrugged a bit and marked her page, set her book aside before slipping off of the bed and hopping over to answer the door.

Her features brightened a bit at seeing Claire on the other side, though the smile slipped away quickly at the expression on her friend's face. "Sure, come in," she replied immediately, stepping aside and holding the door so that Claire could cross the threshold. "Is everything okay, did something happen?"

Claire felt kind of bad for just dropping in on Bee but she did need someone to talk to. Tilting her head to the side, she slides her hands into her pockets while waiting for Bee to answer the door. When she saw her and admitted that she needed someone to talk to, she sighs a little bit as she walks into the room and spots Julian. Waving at him a little, she offers a little smile before turning back to face Bee.

"Nothing more than usual." She sighs, glancing sideways at Julian and then back to the brunette, "I think it's more of just...everything." She sighs, lifting a hand to rub the back of her neck as she had the strangest urge to suddenly cry and she didn't like it.

She didn't need to be an expert to read Claire's body language; she was willing to bet even Julian could tell she needed girl talk. "Okay," Baileigh replied gently, wrapping an arm around Claire's shoulder and steering her into the room. "Okay, um, just have a seat, gimme just a second..." Once she had Claire settled on the edge of the bed, she caught Julian's eye and tipped her head towards the door; it didn't take much for him to catch the hint, put away his laptop and start putting his shoes on ( ... )

Claire got along fine with Julian, they had fun when they were cooking for Thanksgiving and with the whole flour fight but that was completely different than dealing with an obviously emotional teenage girl. She moved to sit on the edge of the bed, watching the subtle signal between Bee and him where she told him to leave for a little while. Nodding, Claire stripped off her jacket and then she got up to lay it over a chair.

Walking to the balcony, she looked out the window as Bee and Julian said goodbye. Brushing her fingers through her hair, she sighed a little as she felt bad for disrupting them.

Turning around to sit back on the bed, she looked at Baileigh and then tilted her head a little, "Some of it. It's been....there's been a lot going on and I'm at the point where I'm not sure I can take it anymore, Bee. I'm trying but it's all a bit much."
