Claire shut her laptop with a frustrated sigh, trying her best not to slam the screen down too hard as she didn’t want to damage it.  Of course that didn’t really help the urge to throw it against the wall but then Hiro would want to know what was wrong with her and she was trying her best to put forth that everything was okay.

Hiro appears as she's finishing up. "Claire? What happened?"

"Perhaps?" He likes the way she gets all gooey when he massages her shoulders. He can feel some of the tension fading. "Our families are full of complicated people. Perhaps we can hope one day that they will not be? Or is this an impossible dream?"

"I think it might be impossible." She sighs softly, moving her head to his shoulder as she closes her eyes in bliss. "Someone is always going to be complicated. That just seems to be the way."

"At least we are not boring?" he says hopefully. When her shoulders feel like there are not so many rocks, he puts his arms around her waist and holds her a little closer.

"This is a good thing." She smiles a little bit, shifting closer to him with a slight sigh.

"Who wants to be normal anyway?" Kuma comes up and nudges Claire's hand wanting to be pet.

"I did for awhile." She admits before reaching down to pet Kuma, smiling a bit. Of course Puck and Ewok were nearby, wrestling on the ground a little bit.

"I think we all do. There is a point where you do not want people staring at you or treating you differently. You just want to blend in. But I found it was too boring, being like everyone else. Though I know I should not flaunt my abilities, I have no desire to ever be considered like everyone else."

"I did but I think I'm getting over it now." She nods. "Probably because we're surrounded by people who are different. It's easier to feel like you fit in when you have a whole group like you."

"It always helps to have people who understand you around you. I think that is part of growing up - finding the ones you care about and who you make your family whether or not they are of your blood."

"I was lucky enough to find both, even if it took awhile."

"I know exactly what you mean. At least I had Ando with me for a while first."
