Gabriel was enjoying himself. It was nice to have someone come over just to see him, sort of just to see him at least. He enjoyed the company, and definitely wanted to see more of it, however, he was still the shy boy deep inside even when he was comfortable, and there was just nothing to do about that. He was going to have to get used to the idea that someone liked him in a way that no one had before, and it might take a few extra days

It was nice to have someone to go see, nice to actually be excited about seeing a guy again because it had been awhile. She had been focused on so many other things and so she hadn't let herself really be attracted to someone. Gabriel was surprised that he had actually dared to take the chance with her. First of all the chance to ask her out on a semi date thing, but then to take it to the next level of sorts with flirting with her, that wasn't something he did often, so of course, he felt completely untrained in that area. Honestly though? He didn't think that he had a chance in hell of it going anywhere with her, though, the fact that she worked at a comic store was reassuring to him, because that gave him a glimmer of hope that maybe she would like a guy like him

Claire knew a bit about flirting but it wasn't like she had a lot of experience either because, honestly, she didn't. She was still fairly innocent in some ways though she had seen more than a lot of girls her age should see. She had gone through things that others simply wouldn't go through because they couldn't bounce back from it the way that she could. But when it came to a man and woman being intimate, she was still innocent but she did want to find someone that she could experience all that with. She never really used to date guys like Gabriel but that was because, as a cheerleader, there were certain expectations but she had learned quickly that she didn't like a lot of guys that girls like her were expected to date. That's why she enjoyed college and being on her own, she could choose who she wanted to date and honestly, she was glad that she said yes to the semi date thing with Gabriel. All made better by the flirtation and the plans to go further
