That was incredible. Ouchy, of course, heart-wrenching, but it was great. I like how you led us on for a while, making us think that Sam would really be trying to take over the world, but I don't know what's worse - Sam being possessed or Dean having to shoot him!

This was heartbreakingly beautiful, in every sense. I definitely understand how you meant 'primeval' to be, and I think you executed this with such perfection. Allow your brother to live his life being possessed by a hellbent demon, or kill him? - that's such a tough decision to make. I don't think I would have the right amount of courage and strength to do that myself, if I were ever in Dean's situation (though, when would that happen? :P). Once more, beautifully done!

You should write prompted-drabbles more often! It was fun to come up with interesting words for you to choose from. :3

Ouch. I can see the scenario, though I wonder if Dean would allow himself even that much "chick flick" moment when it came to Sam. But the possessing and the shooting and the dying part? Yeah.

The upstate New Yorker in me feels honor-bound to point out that Syracuse is actually about 3 hours from the shores of Lake Erie, but considering that they thought Black Rock (Cayuga) was "about 2 hours" from Queens...I guess the Supernatural tesseract can be applied.

OTOH, I love the reference to Cain and Abel. (I had Dean actually meet Cain and they had a conversation about killing one's brother, so that resonated quite a lot. The fic in which it happens is called Harvester of Eyes, if you're interested.)

Is it absolutely horrible that I'm from Syracuse? *headdesk* I'd looked at an NY county map earlier that day, and it showed Onondoga County...there was just no dot showing where Syracuse was, so I simply assumed. *facepalm* Thanks for pointing that out!

I think I definitely will check out that fic, it sounds interesting. Although I don't think I clearly defined who's who in mine...thoughts/opinions?
