Watermelon (China/Korea)

"Brother, it's hot," Korea whined. He reached out a long sleeve, tugging on China's shoulders. Korea made an unpleasant face. "I'm bored, let's do something!"

"No, go away! I have lots of work to do!" China told him, shrugging off his annoying brother. Korea refused to let go and China sighed. He has learned long ago that it was just easier to go with whatever Korea wanted. Easier to give in his whims than fight him. Soon enough, he would forget whatever he was doing and move on to leave China with a few moments of peace.

China dragged Korea with him to the kitchen. Surely, there would be something to amuse him in there. Then China spotted the perfect distraction.

"Let's eat some watermelon," he said and Korea's eyes lit up. He pulled out a huge knife and began cutting it up. "Do you wanna eat in here or outside?"

"In here, it's too hot outside!" Korea whined again. China gave him an annoyed look and handed him a slice. Korea took a huge bit and began spitting out the seeds.

"Aiyaaa! Don't spit them on the floor! You have to clean those up," China fumed. Korea just kept eating his watermelon. China sighed and started to pick them up for him. He always did these things, always gave in to Korea.

"Hey Bro, this watermelon is really good, thanks. But did you know, watermelon originated in Korea?" Korea said, making his way over to China. China started to warn Korea about the seeds but by the time he got his mouth open, it was too late. Korea was tumbling down, his long sleeves flinging through the air as he reached out to grab onto the closest thing- China.

They both fell down with a loud bang, Korea perched on top of China. China took a deep breath and opened his eyes. The insult died on his lips though, when he realized how close Korea was. Korea was looking at him with concern in his eyes, his hands on either side of China's face.

"Brother," Korea whispered, like he was afraid he had broken him. China couldn't say anything, couldn't move. He could only look into Korea's eyes and he became hyper-aware of every detail of the moment. Korea's long eyelashes fluttered and China could feel Korea's long hair brushing against his forehead.

Suddenly, Korea bent down and closed the distance between them. China kissed back before he even realized what had happened. He could taste the distinct sweetness of the watermelon on Korea's lips. But just as soon as it had started, it had ended and Korea was standing up. China slowly rose, feeling the crick in his neck and the ache in his back. He frowned.

"I'm going to eat outside now!" Korea said cheerfully and ran out of the room, grabbing handfuls of the watermelon. China just stared after him and shook his head. Maybe he should have the boy over for watermelon more often.
